- When is the deadline for reports to go into the GIRO pack? ACTION TM
14 July (brought forward with the conference date)
- We thought we should aim to do a short (10 pages) paper, which plugs the wiki but is also thought provoking as last year. I think we should aim for mid June for a first draft. Some topics might be:
A new relationship with IT is required (we thought we could share personal experiences)
OPML; reading lists
Wikis/RSS aggregators, one year on - experiences of various working parties
R souls - describe
Screen casting - why actuaries will find it useful
Plug for tookit wiki
* in particular in the R reserving package
* other stuff we have developed
- Actuary Advert - straight after GIRO. The idea here is to prick consciences after GIRO; all those people that meant to look into new technologies - ideally with a cartoon and some links. ACTION TM
I have contacted the publishers to see if they are interested. We could always do this as an email if not (perhaps that would be better?).
any of the wiki pages we have been developing should be tidied up and made user friendly
focus in particular on the reserving package as the "crown jewels".
I think we have made some excellent progress. Any of the group that would like to get more involved - this is an ideal time.
